Karen Marcus, M.A. Linguistics

Karen became interested in the field of second language acquisition while studying for her B.A. in Spanish at San Diego State University. As a master's candidate in Linguistics, she wrote two papers on second language learning. Karen lived in Spain for one year and has traveled extensively throughout Europe , Mexico , and Russia. She is a TOEFL specialist and has taught a wide variety of ESL classes over the last 25 years. In addition, Karen is currently the coordinator of the CSC (China Scholarship Council) Teaching Sciences in English Program. Her other teaching posts include Spanish instructor at San Diego State University. When Karen is not teaching, she can be found at fine arts events, including theater, symphony, and opera.
