The program consists of the following Core courses

Students can choose from several electives, depending on what is offered each quarter. Some examples are:

- Games in the EFL Classroom
- Grammar and Editing
- Grammar Workshops I, II, III, IV

-Teaching TOEFL Preparation
- Workplace EFL: Teaching English in International Business & Industry
In addition, students may take one three-hour or four-hour class per week in high-intermediate to advanced English Language Institute classes each quarter from the Ten-Week English Language Institute curriculum. Courses vary quarterly.
*TEFL students are required to provide a copy of transcripts for the two most recent years of academic studies and a one page statement explaining why you would like to take the TEFL Certificate or the Special Studies in TEFL program with their application.

| For all 2009 TEFL Programs - After a student has been admitted into a TEFL program, a change to a different TEFL program requires the approval of the TEFL Program Coordinator and a $125 USD program change fee. |
TEFL students are responsible for having adequate transportation to certain classes and workshops that are part of the program curriculum.
